SC.Villa striker Herman Wasswa is optimistic the club will over come Ndejje University in the round of 32 of the Bell Uganda Cup. The two sides clash on Saturday at Ndejje in search for progress to the last 16.
Unlike their opponents, the blues have not kicked a ball in the competition having advanced to the stage with out breaking any sweat as would be opponents Kwania F.C didn’t show up.
Wasswa insisted that this is a competition they want to win as they have no chance in the league. “We seem to be out of the league title contention this season and therefore must win the Uganda Cup if we want any joy for the trophy this season”, said Wasswa.
“We need to beat every opponent in this competition given its nature and therefore the work begins at Ndejje which am confident we are ready to win”, added soft spoken Wasswa. SC.Villa last won this trophy in 2009 when they beat URA 2-1 in the finals at Nakivubo stadium while Ndejje University have never won it.
