Uganda drops in FIFA rankings - AGAIN

Uganda has again dropped one place in the latest Coca Cola FIFA rankings release by the Word governing body to position 88. Uganda shares the position with Qatar and Saudi Arabia but are judged to be the weaker of the three teams occupying the 88th position. In Africa, Uganda is ranked 20th below Angola and above Malawi.

The recent 3-1 loss to Congo Brazzaville in the AFCON 2013 qualifier contributed to Uganda’s drop in the rankings. In the meantime, Congo Brazzaville are ranked 34th in Africa and 101st in the World strengthening the belief that FIFA rankings do not always count on the field.

In East Africa, Kenya moved 10 places to 113th in the world and are now 31st in Africa. Their recent win over Togo helped them gain in the latest ranking. Tanzania however dropped two places to 141st in the World and are now ranked 42nd in the continent. Rwanda on the other hand moved 3 places up to 105th in World and 26th in Africa

Spain still remain top of the world FIFA rankings followed by Netherlands who moved one place to dislodge Germany. Ivory Coast are still the leaders in Africa followed by Ghana.
