We are set - Kiira Young's George Ssemwogerere

Big league table leaders Kiira Young are set for the titanic clash against big talking Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) on Thursday at Namboole stadium according to Head Coach George Ssemwogerere. The former Express F.C and Uganda Cranes captain speaking to kawowo sports ahead of the encounter asserts that there is no room for error.

“Our aim is to get into the super league and there is no way we can error at this time of the league”, Said Ssemwogerere. We are set and all I can tell you is that we are going for all three points to cement our position on the table, he adds.

Kiira Young leads the table on 27 points and despite the tight competition exhibited this season, they are still the favorites to clinch the

championship and qualify for the super league next season directly. The team is currently camping at Sports View Hotel, Kireka ahead of the match.

Tasked to point out the key players he hopes will lift his team, the U-23 national team Coach replied that all his 25 players are good and whoever makes the squad for the game will have his trust. “I have no suspension and injuries in my squad and all the boys are fine and ready to play. I can’t say it will be this or that because I have so much trust in whoever makes the squad to perform according to the game plan”, the soft spoken Coach adds.

George Ssemwogerere is not a novice at this stage as he is the man who led to the promotion of Nalubaale F.C to super league – the current Proline side playing in the super league. He is assisted by former Express F.C custodian and last season’s Masaka L.C Coach James Magala
