Manchester United fans and premier league fanatics will get a chance to take a glance at the the 19th trophy and also take pictures with it and former Manchester United players. The trophy’s tour of Africa and the world is sponsored by Manchester United partners DHL.
Manchester United’s commercial director Richard Arnold confirmed in a statement on Man Utd’s official website. “The 19th league title was a special moment for every one in Man Utd family and the DHL Champ19ns Trophy Tour is our way of being able to share that historicachievement with our 333 million fans
around the globe. The passion and fervour of United fans is famous around the world and Africa is no different”.
Former Man Utd players Gary Bailey and Quitone Fortune will accompany the Premier League Trophy. The 19th trophy is historic in Manchester United as it overtook Liverpool as the most successful team in the premiership.
The Champions trophy will be presented at Just Kicking, Kisementi in Kampala tomorrow (Easter Sunday) at 2.00 pm E.A Time. The Champ19ns trophy tour of Africa began on 2nd April in South Africa, it was in Dar Salam Tanzania yesterday, 8th/April, Kampala-Uganda, 10th/April, Nairobi-Kenya, 13th/April Accra-Ghana and lastly 14th/ April in Dakar Senegal.
