Bell USL Match Preview: Bunamwaya SC vs KCC

EDWARD GOLOLA’S SIDE AIM TO CLOSE GAP ON LEADERS. KICK OFF: 3.00PM – BUIKWE.

This is the match Edward Golola’s side must win if they are to show the intent of winning the championship they last won in 2009.

Despite kicking off the second round of the league as the form side, the Wakiso based side have only won once in their previous three encounters collecting four out of the possible nine.

Their previous match was a dissapointing goal less draw with

relegation threatened Fire Masters at the same venue on Tuesday. They lie third on the table with 37 points five behind leaders Express FC but may leapfrog URA FC into second with a win in case the tax collectors fail to beat Express FC at Lugazi today.

BUNAMWAYA SC TEAM NEWS: Midfield maestro Hakim Ssenkumba returns after being rested for the goal less draw against Fire Masters on Tuesday. Simon Sserunkuma who also missed the game due to malaria has a minimal chance of making today’s squad. Left back Godfrey Walusimbi also returns from suspension.

PROBABLE XI. Muwonge, Wadada, Sseku, Ssali, Walusimbi, Kimuli (cpt), Ssenkumba, Luwagga, Odur, Okhuti and Luzige.

MAN TO WATCH: Ceaser Okhuti has scored eight goals in seven games since his return from Vietnam and will be the man KCC must neutralise in case they need a good result from the game.

KCC FC TEAM NEWS: Morley Byekwaso’s side last outing was a draw with Bidco and the Yellow lads want to regain their winning touch. Isreal Emuge may continue to partner Malinga Richard at centre back relegating Omar Hitimana on the bench or playing the defensive role to thwart Bunamwaya’s attacks. Former Bunamwaya striker Andy Ssali may face his former employers albeit coming off the bench as he is not expected to start.

PROBABLE XI. Wakabu, Mpiima, Emuge, Malinga (cpt), Hitimana, Ntege, Mulumba, Turyahebwa, Sapeo, Ssekayombya and Ocaya.

MAN TO WATCH: Ceaser Sapeo is the team’s main attacking threat and Bunamwaya must keep an eye on him for as long as he is on the pitch.

PREDICTION:

Bunamwaya SC have not lost a game at Buikwe but KCC FC will draw inspiration from the fact that Fire Masters, Utoda FC and Victors FC have earned respectable draws from Buikwe and the Yellow lads will want to move a step higher by collecting all three points. However, at this moment in the title race, i don’t expect Bunamwaya to drop from points. BUNAMWAYA SC 2-1 KCC FC. What is your prediction?
