Police FC has unveiled Sam Timbe as head Coach replacing Angelo Lonyesi who is relegated to the position of assistant. Club Chairman Asan Kasingye confirmed the developments and asserted that no technical member of the team has been sacked as rumour has been doing rounds but insisted that Timbe can work with whoever he wants.
For now, sources indicate that Lonyesi Angelo will work as an assistant to the former Villa, Atraco and Yanga Africans Cecafa winning coach and still conducted today’s evening training session.
Under Lonyesi’s reign as head Coach, the Cops have collected merely 18 points from their 21 games played this season and lie 14th on the 16 team log. They managed only three wins, drawn and lost nine.
Timbe’s first task at hand is to save Police FC from relegation and he only has nine games to save the sinking ship. His first assignment comes this Friday against fellow relegation strugglers Fire Masters FC. This is Timbe’s second stint at Police FC, his first coming way back in 2006 when he won the club their first and only Cecafa titles.
