Salzburg, go into the Cup game having strengthened their position in the league with a comfortable 1-0 win over Mattersburg on Saturday thus stretching its lead in the Austrian Bundesliga to three points over their closest rivals Rapid Wien.
Salzburg has 56 points while Wien has 53 going into the four remaining rounds of the season. “We just have to keep playing well for us to reach our goal,” Sekagya recently said. The towering Ugandan defender has been an integral part of the double chasing Salzburg and he is the vice captain of the side.
Sekagya is chasing his first domestic double for his side since joining the Austrian giant side in 2007. Salzburg are unbeaten in 11 games and have scored in their last ten games.
