League champions URA football club held hosts KCC FC to a one-all draw in a dramatic game played at the club’s newly opened stadium at Lugogo infront of his lord worship Erias Lukwago.
KCC looked the hungerier side in the first 45 minutes in a well attended game which saw the home side taking the lead in the 39 minute through Andy Sekayombya, who rounded up a panicky Brian Bwete, URA’s custodian with KCC pushing the tax collectors in their own half most of the time.
The Lugogo side’s coach Morley Byekwaso opted to use one striker Sekayombya to man the attack and on several occassions was a
menace combining well with tricky right winger Titus Lubega and Michael Birungi was used as a left winger with Tom Masiko and Brian Majwega probing from deep inside. KCC’s should have ended the half with a much bigger margin, but Lubega was a big culprit putting several glaring chances to waste.
URA who have not being playing well lately and have several injuries upped their game with Benson Ociti scoring twice, but his chances where ruled for offside with his second chance injury time ruled out for infringement over KCC’s clumsy custodian Godfrey Wakabu gifting him a would be winner that center referee Brian Nsubuga ruled offside.
The tax collectors Feni Ali, saved the day for his side pouncing on a loose ball that Wakabu failed to parry out of danger to level matters.
KCC moved up to fifth position with 35 points after 24 games played while URA closed the gap on Express FC to just one point they now have 43 points with two games in hand for them.
