
Renowned Villa supporter Miracle was on Thursday arrested by anti-riot police alongside Meddie and another not identified for attempting to stop a training session. Sula as he is commonly known managed to escape and he is on the run.
SC Villa coach Mike Mutebi had organized a friendly match with Bombo Utd when a group of fans led by the mentions above stormed Villa Park in Nsambya. They were holding placards that read; “Tired of Mike, Mutebi and Kanaba should leave our club.”
Riot Police intervened arresting one by one as other fled. Speaking to kawowo sports, Villa football Director Joseph Kanaba has revealed the fans arrested by police are going to be banned for life from all Villa activities. “We are also going to retract their membership cards,” Kanaba said.
It’s alleged that the fans also used to send death threatening messages to the team coach (Mutebi) and Kanaba.
One of the angry fans told kawowo that Kanaba wants to get rid of all the villa fans and get new ones who will seat in the stands and cheer the team.
SC Villa were knocked out of the Bell Uganda cup prematurely when they fought in a game against URA while they were trailing 3-1. The club is also coming off a run of good results in the league that was brought to an end by the defeat to Simba in Bombo on Tuesday. Mutebi who failed to comment about the incident guided his team to a 8-0 win against Bombo Utd.
