ura buna

Sun. 10th/06/2012, Buikwe – 4.00pm.

Title deciders as both sides have a chance to win it if Express FC falters. All roads lead to Buikwe Sunday after when 2009 league champions Bunamwaya SC welcome defending champions URA FC in a tie that is set to decide the direction of the 2011/12 championship.

The hosts will be automatically crowned champions if they beat URA FC and Express FC fails to register victory against

Bidco FC at Namboole.

The tax collectors can also win it if they can match Express FC – Bidco FC result since they currently lead the log on goal difference with +18 as compared to Express FC’s +17. Both teams are tied on 51 points which Edward Golola’s Bunamwaya SC is third on 50 points. The first round fixture ended 2-1

in favor of the tax collectors and the Wakiso based side will be eager to avenge the league and cup final defeat and keep fingers crossed that Bidco FC does the damage to the Red eagles.

Bunamwaya SC team news: Assistant coach Richard Wasswa vowed to fight till the last minute an indication that URA FC must not expect any favors. The side will however miss the services Ceaser Okhuti (injury), Godfrey Walusimbi (national duty), Murushid Jjuuko (injury) and may be Hamza Muwonge (rested). Midfield gem Hakim Ssenkumba who never played part in the 1-1 draw with Express FC despite making the bench may get a starting berth ahead of Juma Balinya. Med Muwonge is expected to remain deputy to Walusimbi at left back while Tony Odur may start ahead of either Jacob Otunga or Martin Muwanga. The duo put up abysmal performance in their last outing.

Probable Line up: Joseph Ssebuliba, Wadada Nicholas, Ronald Sseku, Edward Ssali, Med Muwonge, Robert Kimuli (cpt), Hakim Ssekumba, Luwagga Kizito, Tony Odur, Martin Muwanga and Edgar Luzige.

Man to Watch: Skipper Robert Kimuli has for long been the un sung hero of his side yet his ball holding and distribution means he is the orchestrator of the team. Whenever he clicks, Bunamwaya SC is hard to beat.

URA FC Team news: Pressure has mounted on Alex Isabirye’s charges going into the game and the side has petitioned the points deducted off them due to Fire Masters FC expulsion from the league. The side will be without Simon Masaba and Robert Ssentongo (national duty) but the side has enough amunition to cover for the duo. Phillip Ssempira and Hamis Kitagenda or Peter Ssenyonjo will fill in for Masaba and Ssentongo respectively.

Probable line up: Allan Owiny, Phillip Ssempira, Sam Mubiru, Sam Ssenkomi, Allan Munaba, Manko Kawesa (cpt), Vincent Kayizzi, Said Kyeyune, Hamis Kitagenda, Feni Ali Moses and Benson Ociti.

Man to Watch: There will be a battle for midfield and therefore expect Manko Kawesa to be the key man for URA FC. His work rate and ability to shoot from long range will be key to the visitors’ performance.

PREDICTION:

Both teams are not short on quality and fully deserve to be vying for the title. Bunamwaya SC is at home while URA FC has experience and needs the game more which means they will be under so much pressure. Besides, they have beaten the hosts twice this season which begs a question. Can they do it for a third time? I say no.
