Proline FC has just won a third of their games and their coach Abdallah Mubiru has already admitted it won’t be an easy task against Water on Friday. “Water FC is not an easy team especially when they are playing Proline. We are approaching the game with a winning mentality which will help us get maximum points.” Mubiru said.
The two sides will clash off in their fourth league FUFA Super League game at Namboole stadium.
While Proline (sixth) has picked five points (a win and two draws) out of the possible nine, Water have only won two points and are 12th on the log. Robert ‘Wurube’ Lopidia will start his first game of
the season when Proline visit Water FC on Friday at Nakivubo Stadium. He came off the bench in Proline’s last game, a 1-1 draw against Kira Young FC on Tuesday and impressed Coach Abdallah Mubiru.
Goalkeeper Alex Mugabi, who joined the team in the off-season, will make his debut. Mugabi was named ahead of Lukwago Charles, who has so far conceded two goals in three matches. The back four shall include Agaba Nicholas and Abubaker Tabula in the right and left full-back positions respectively, while Captain Mukisa Yusuf will partner Ausi Kaaya in the center of defense.
Apollo Razak Ewatu, scorer against Kira, will shield the defense, with Gift Ali Gigi just in front of him. Ismail Kabugu and Wadri William Kadogo will play on the right and left flanks, with Wurube supporting Anthony Bongole in attack. Andrew Buteera (knee), Makoba Dennis Bigala (ankle) and Namwanja Simon (ankle) will all miss the game through injury. Proline will be seeking for their first win in three games after drawing against Simba and Kira.
