
MUK 1-0 MUBS
The Unlucky MUBS conceded a 74th minute goal of the game to lose 1-0 against their arch rivals Makerere University at Makerere grounds. MUBS were the team to beat in the evening as they started very strong attacking the home team and in only three minutes MUBS had made two dangerous attempts in Shaban Juma Omara who stroke the ball over the bar and Christopher Walyawula who took a back pass to MUK keeper Samson Kiirya.
MUK tried to come back with in the game but couldn’t stand the dominance of MUBS as they tried possessing the ball and made constant attacks. An improved MUBS were vying for the top spot had they won the match as they do have a superior goal difference than the rest of the teams.
The first half of the match was totally dominated by MUBs as they made constant attacks and on the MUK side it was handfuls who tried harder in the likes of the holding midfielder Moses Ssemanda, winger Nassif Kasamba and goal keeper Samson Kiirya but the defence was in hibernation.
MUBS tactician had left out his play maker in Joachim Golooba and brought him at the brink of second half and his introduction was magnificent as he gave Shaban Juma a through ball which would have resulted in to a goal had he added some pace.
At the start of the second half with the game still all square MUBS had their chances to take the lead with several attacking moves, Golooba , Shaban had a number of excellent shots on goal.
MUK continued to resist however and confirmation that it just wasn’t MUBS’ day came just before the end when Makerere University took the lead through Dan Kasoma in the 74th minute which sank MUBS and from this moment it became heated up as MUK wwere looking for the second goal and MUBS were looking for an equalizer but luck never went their way as they lost to MUK.
Makerere University Business School deserved at least a point from the match but gained nothing at all but has gained yet more valuable experience and look forward to their next match.
