The battle for the 2012 Kenyan Premier League championship resumes Sunday afternoon when table leaders Tusker FC take on third placed Gor Mahia at Nyao stadium, Nairobi.
Ugandans Ivan Anguyo
and Dan Sserunkuma are expected to feature in the game for K’ogalo while former Water FC striker David Nyanzi and SC Victoria University left fullback Allan Katerega are part of the brewers.
Daniel Mzee Sserunkuma is expected to lead the hunt for goals for Gor Mahia with Ivan Anguyo keeping things tight at the back. The former has so far netted 13 league goals so far this season and will carry the burden of finding the net for the club without his strike partner Ramah Salim who is suspended for the match.
Ivan Anguyo missed the club’s last match due to suspension but is expected to return to the team for the crucial game.
On the other hand, Allan Katerega has not had much playing time since joining Tusker FC but former Water FC skipper David Nyanzi is expected to be part of the team that Coach Robert Matano lines up against his rivals.
Tusker FC leads the 16 team log on 54 points while third placed Gor Mahia is just two points behind the brewers.
Meanwhile, second placed AFC Leopards which is level on points with Tusker FC beat Oserian 3-1 in a league match played yesterday. The side also has Ugandans Abbas Kiwalabye and Jimmy Bageya.
