KIU Vs Nkumba
The Super 6 Nile Special Inter Vasity Football league resumes on Wednesday as 5th placed Kampala International University plays host to 3rd placed Nkumba University at Nsambya play grounds.
The league’s organising committee unanimously ruled to award Kyambogo 3 points and 2 goals after the aborted Kyambogo-Makerere game that was
aborted due to crowd violence as the hosts were leading 2-0. Another aborted tie between Nkumba and Kyambogo will be replayed on Saturday,10th November.
The Entebbe based institution have accumulated 15 points off 7 enagagements,two points below the log leaders,Kyambogo(17) and a point short of second best MUBS(16).
Should Nkumba triumph over a struggling KIU side,who lost at home 1-2 at home against MUBS,they will hit the league summit. “Its been a very tough contest.KIU held us at home but we expect to win in Nsambya”, remarks Nkumba’s skipper,Allan Zirimenya.
MUBS hosts Makerere on Thursday(8th Nov) before Nkumba plays Kyambogo on Sat (10th Nov) in a rematch at a neutral venue.
