Simba SC 0-1 Toto Africans FC
Ugandan export to Tanzania Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza was the tormentor in chief as his side Young Africans beat Coastal Unions 2-0 to extend its lead on the Vodacom Premier League in a match played on Sunday afternoon at Mkwakwani Stadium, Tanga.
The Ugandan international assisted Burundian hit man Didier Kavumbagu to break the dead lock in the 28th minute to give the Cecafa Kagame Cup champion a deserved half time lead.
With 28 minutes on the clock, Kiiza got himself on the score sheet with a well taken goal to extend the lead beyond Coastal union’s reach and the score line remained unchanged till the final whistle.
The goal was Kiiza’s fifth of the new season and his second in two consecutive matches.
The victory helped Young Africans stretch their lead on the 14 team log with 26 points from 13 games played three ahead of second placed Simba SC.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Okwi’s Simba SC lost their second game on the trot after suffering a shock defeat at the hands of Toto Africans at home.
