National golfer Ronnie Bukenya, failed to make the cut into the professional ranks of the game of golf last weekend at the par 72 Kitante golf course.
The dreadlocked Jinja based golfer failed the test of joining his fellow professionals when he returned scores of level 72, two over par 74 and level 72 score in the final round to finish off with a gross score of 218 gross.
“I am disappointed that I failed to make the cut to join the lucrative professional golf circuit,” Bukenya said. “I have to give it another shot in 2013,but at the same time really have to work hard on improving my game.”
Entebbe’s Henry Lujja, failed the trials returning with scores of eight over par 82,seven over par 79 and his final round of ten over par 82 with a total score of 231 gross.
Bukenya was set to join a group of several professional golfers players from Jinja who include Emmanuel Onito Opio,Grace Ocici Onito,Ian Odokonero,Brian Toolit,Fred Wanzala and Said Mawa.
