Portuguese’s side based Ugandan footballers, Kizito Luwagga and Alex Kakuba featured for their respective clubs in the Liga De Honra league, the second tier league in Portuguese Primeira Liga.

 Luwagga, over the weekend helped his team, Leixoes football club defeat visiting Atletico CP with a 2-0 victory, but the Ugandan International was so unfortunate on the night as he got sent off after receiving a second booking from referee Carlos Miguel Xistra in the 51st minute of the game played at Estadio do Mar in Portugal.

The Ex Vipers and Bell Super League’s best midfielder of the year, Kizito, has scored four goals for Leixoes FC since he joined them in 2012.

On the other side, Alex Kakuba who plays his professional football for Sporting Clube da Covilha in the same league, (Liga De Honra), was substituted by his coach, Fana, in the 61 minute to bring on Cameroonian Yohanna Buba in the game played watched by over 350 supporters at Estadio Carlos Osorio in Portugal over the weekend.

A brace from Brazilian Santos Simoes Fabrice was just enough to dispatch Kakumba’s side who suffered a 3-2  loss too UD Olieirense.

Luwagga’s Leixoes FC who lies 9th on the Liga De Honra log will travel to CD Feirense to play their 24th match of the season without the Ugandan who faces a two match suspension.

Alex Kakuba is expected to feature for his  Sporting Clube da Covilha as they entertain visitors Sporting CP II who are second on the league table. The Liga De Honra is topped by CFOS Belenses with 53 points after 23 games played while SC Freamunde and CD Trofense are at the bottom with 18 points a piece.
