Ghana take on minnows Niger in their last group B match in Port Elizabeth aiming at topping the group in order to advance to the knock out stages of the 2013 Africa Nations Cup.

The Black Stars top the group with four points from two games following a 2-2 draw versus DR Congo and a 1-0 win over Mali.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah must field a side without midfielder Mubarak Wakaso who is serving a one-match ban after picking up two yellow cards. The hardworking midfielder scored the only goal in the Mali win courtesy of a penalty spot.

On a positive note though, Anthony Annan, who missed the last match against the Eagles after aggravating an ankle injury in their Group opener, has been training and will be available for selection.

Niger lost 1-0 to Mali courtesy Seydou Keita lone strike but earned rave reviews for holding favourites DR Congo to a 0-0 draw.

Under the guidance of German coach Gernot Rohr they picked their first Africa Cup of Nations point in the draw with the Leopards.

Defensive midfielder Issaka Koudize picked up a knee injury during their last match but the technical team expects him to be fit for the match.

Niger who sit bottom of the group with one point have a remote chance of qualifying to the last eight if they beat Ghana and DR Congo lose to Mali in the other Group match which will be played simultaneously.
