New Harambee Stars Coach Adel Amrouche has named his final squad that will be travelling to take on African Champions Nigeria in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on March 23 at Esunene Stadium in Calabar.

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama makes the squad despite fitness worries after he picked up an injury in the Champions league return leg against Juventus. Also in the squad is team skipper Denis Oliech and first choice goalie Arnold Origi. Inter Milan midfielder Mcdonald Mariga is the major absentee from the squad due to injury.

Surprisingly, Amrouche left out on form Azam FC duo of Humphrey Mieno and Joackins Atudo. The team leaves Nairobi on Wednesday 20th March aboard Kenya Airways but will have a chartered plane to Calabar City where the match is to be played.

Kenya sits bottom of group F with just one point while Nigeria are top with four points. Namibia and Malawi are second and third on three and two points respectively

Sofapaka defender Abdallah Juma has been replaced by  Crispin Odula of Bandari FC and Paul Were (low fitness levels) has been replaced by Peter Opiyo who plays for Tusker FC. This was confirmed by assistant Coach James Nandwa at the team’s send off ceremony organised by East African Breweries.
