Women’s Div One: KCC Leopards 76 – A1 Challenge
Newly promoted City Oilers began life in the Men’s Division one National Basketball league with a loss to 2011 Champions D’Mark Power despite putting up a stellar performance. Joseph Ikong was the main tormentor of the City Oilers bagging 17 points followed by Paul Odong who managed 14.

Both sides took the lead in two of the four quarters with debutants City Oilers leading the first and third quarters 15-14 and 26-20 respectively while D’Mark Power led the second 20-12 and the fourth 13-12 to emerge overall winners by a three point margin on 68-65.
Yusuf Muhammad and Jimmy Enabu were the star performers for City Oilers scoring 16 and 14 points respectively.

In the women’s category, defending champions KCC Leopards started on a high beating A1 challenge 76-60 in an earlier game played at Lugogo. Lamuna Claire and Martha Soigi managed 20 and 22 points respectively while last season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Flavia Aketcho did manage 5 points.
