The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) set Masindi Municipal Stadium as the battling field for the 39th edition of Uganda cup finals come Sunday 26 of next month. 

Over 70 teams all over Uganda registered to play in this year’s edition but only 8 are left (quarterfinals). SC Victoria plays Kira Young fc in the last game of round of 16 to determine the 8th team to join Kamwokya utd, Simba fc, Bright Stars fc, Vipers sc, KCC fc, URA fc and Entebbe fc which reached round of 8 earlier alone.

Kampala region league outfit, Kamwokya Utd will date Simba fc on Tuesday next week at Kira road play ground in the first match of the round of 8 and the same day, will see Bright Stars fc who was recently promoted from Big league to play in FUFA super league next season, entertaining the winner between Alex Isabirye’s SC Victoria and Kira Young fc at Namboole stadium. 

Vipers sc in the other match will be up against KCC fc that are looking for their 9th title clinch (last won it in 2004 after defeating Express fc) at Buikwe stadium on 7th of April.

Defending champions URA fc that are also looking for their 3rd title, will play hosts to Entebbe fc at Mehta stadium in Lugazi on Tuesday 14th of next month. The semifinals of this sponsor-less cup initiated in 1971 and won by Coffee fc, are also set next month and will be played on a home and away basis. 

The winning club/team, runners up and match-day officials of the finals will receive 25 gold medals, 25 silver and 5 gold medals respectively catered by FUFA.
