Ex- Cranes winger David Obua could be headed back to top flight football if negotiations with an un-revealed club in Europe are successful.
The former Police FC and Express FC star spent two weeks training with South Africa Premier League side University of Pretoria last month and there were reports that Amatuks Coach Steve Barker was impressed with his (Obua) form but was yet to make a decision on whether to sign him for next season.
“If I am given chance to go and prove myself with this team I will do exactly that,” Obua said according to South Africa sports website kickoff.com amidst the reports of him heading to Eastern Europe.
David Obua has not played competitive football since his contract with Scottish Premier League side Hearts of Midlothian expired at the end of last season but has admitted he is eager to return to competitive football.
“If any good deal comes now I will take it because I have not been in competitive action for a long time yet I feel I have a lot to offer,” Obua added. Efforts to talk to Obua were futile as his known mobile phone numbers were off but we shall keep you updated on any development as usual.
