University League: KIU 4-0 Makerere University.

Kampala International University’s incredible form continued when they handed Makerere University one of their heaviest defeats in the University Football League, , hammering the Makererians 4-0 at their new grounds at St. Peters Nsambya.

New kid on the block Jesse Kajuba put KIU ahead with a powerful shot in the 28th minute and Stephen Mukama Mugulimali turned in the second goal after defender Tanga Obbo was preventing the cross from reaching Kajuba as he gave it to the opponent.

Kajuba added the third in the 35th minute and latter grabbed his hat-trick of the evening as Makerere collapsed dramatically in the game. In doing so, KIU was avenging on what Makerere did to them in the last Edition of the UFL as MUK beat them home and away.
Makerere then put together some intricate passing moves although they rarely threatened to score.

MUK’s most dangerous first-half effort was a powerful shot from Ronnie Atiku who tested KIU keeper Derrick Ssebayiga who punched it out for a corner. Makerere were vulnerable on the break.

This victory against MUK helps them leapfrog MUBS and KIU move into the third position with 12 points as they wait for the outcomes of MUBS – Nkumba tie on Friday.
Actions resumes on Thursday at Villa Park when East African Champions Kampala University host struggling Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi.
