Women:

Magic Stormers Vs KIU Rangers 5:30 PM

Men:
Heaters Vs Miracle Eagles 1:30 PM
Nkumba Marines Vs UCU Canons 3:30 PM
City Oilers Vs KIU Titans 7:30 PM

The City Oilers have put together an impressive performance in their first season in the Airtel National Basketball League, winning six of eight played including a 70-51 win over Heaters in their last game a couple of weeks ago. The Oilers will be back on the floor this evening at YMCA to take on KIU Titans.

Oilers have lost to possibly the best and most prepared teams this season and given Titans’ struggles against top teams, it doesn’t appear to pose much of a threat for a third successive win especially with the way Jimmy Enabu and Kami Kabange are flying on the offensive end and the defensive solidity of the team.

Titans (5-3) will be looking for a win against a team in the top 5 having already fallen to UCU Canons, Riham Warriors and being unlucky against Dmark Power in their last game. KIU are an organised team defensively and will not give as many easy baskets.

In the other men’s game strugglers, Heaters and Eagles will face off as Eagles will be searching for their first win of the season which their coach, Richard Nduga believes should be coming from such fixtures. Heaters meanwhile will be looking for their second since winning the opening fixture.

UCU Canons play Nkumba Marines in what should be a lop-sided game. Canons will be going for a ninth straight win as they are off the best start to a season. The fixture completes Nkumba’s first round schedule of games.

In the women’s division, playoff hopefuls KIU Rangers and Magic Stormers will match-up for the first time of the three this season. Rangers have not lost a game since losing the opening two fixtures to division heavy weights, Leopards and Lady Canons and have won five in the process behind balanced team performances. Stormers meanwhile have lost three – to similar opponents (Lady Canons and twice to Leopards) and winning four.

School side Nabisunsa play MUK Sparks. Nabisunsa are yet to win a game this season and have been on the receiving end of 100 points or more in three of the eight losses. Sparks have two wins this season including a walkover against their opponents who didn’t show up for the first match-up. Sparks have seven losses to their name and have let 100 points or more once (to Lady Canons).
