Following a brilliant opening start of the tournament, the Kampala Junior Teams’ under 16 and 18 have continued to prove the doubters about the ability to conquer youth football in the ongoing Gothia Youth tournament in Sweden.

The Under 16 team has now scored 13 goals and conceded just once in 3 games while the under 18 team has scored 7 letting in 3.

KJT (U-16) beat FC Beirut and IFO Bromlk by 6-0 and 5-0 scorelines respectively while the Under 18 team over came Sweden’s Malarhojdans 4-0 on Tuesday.

There are over 1600 teams (including 230 local teams) participating in this tournament from the entire world, dubbed the Youth world cup. It is organised by SKF and exclusively sponsored by Nike, Turkish Airlines, Liseberg, Inter-sport, Visa-sat Fotboll, GP, telenor, BMW, GB Glance, De Boer, Gloria Olympic Arena, Sixt Car Rentals,Folksam, koppaberg, floor it, t-tripnet and vastra Gottalandsregionen.

Kampala Junior Team is a community based organization for the disadvantaged children, located in the slums of Kampala-Uganda. It has a long term mission of creating better life opportunities to the children from disadvantaged families and orphan kids. The teams are managed by Mansoor Kabugo.
