Consadole Sapporo (Japan) 2-3 KJT (Uganda)

Kampala Junior Team U-16 football team has won the Gothia under sixteen youth cup in Sweden. KJT came from 2 goals down to win the tourney final played at the Gothia Arena.

KJT (U-16)  had earlier in the week beaten FC Beirut and IFO Bromlk by 6-0 and 5-0 scorelines in the group stages. Come the round of 32, the Ugandan boys overcame , Sweden’s Eskilsminne 3-0, beat Lobatos Foot 4-1 in round of 16, Ljungskile 5-0 quaterfinals, whalloped IFK Lindingo FK 1 (4-1) and beat Brazil’s Pequenions de Jockey in the semis (play-off A) before facing off Japan’s Consadole Sapporo, who suprisingly took a 2-nil lead. KJT boys fought like gallant men, and won the trophy.

There are over 1600 teams (including 230 local teams) participating in this tournament from the entire world, dubbed the Youth world cup. It is organised by SKF and exclusively sponsored by Nike, Turkish Airlines, Liseberg, Inter-sport, Visa-sat Fotboll, GP, telenor, BMW, GB Glance, De Boer, Gloria Olympic Arena, Sixt Car Rentals,Folksam, koppaberg, floor it, t-tripnet and vastra Gottalandsregionen.
