Senegal Vs Uganda – Marrakesh, Morocco @ 10.00pm (Ugandan Time)
The final group J 2014 World Cup qualifiers epic clash between Senegal and Uganda will be played at Marrakesh Stadium, in Morocco under floodlights FIFA has confirmed.
According to the FIFA official website, the do or die encounter will kick off at 8.00pm (Morocco Time) and 10pm (Ugandan Time) on Saturday September 7.
This confirms the earlier communication from Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) and brings to halt all the reports about Conakry where Senegal played their home tie versus Angola.
Senegal was barred from using their home country to host these fixtures following crowd troubles in their 2013 AFCON qualifiers against Nigeria.
The Cranes need not less than victory to make it to the final round of the 2014 Africa Zone World Cup qualifiers while Senegal who lead the group on nine points one ahead of Uganda need to avoid defeat.
It won’t be the first time Uganda will be playing at Marrakesh. In 2011, The Cranes shocked hosts Morocco with a 1-0 victory and also drew 0-0 with Sudan in the LG Cup.
