Senegal Vs Uganda – Marrakesh, Morocco
Uganda Cranes safely touched down at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey and checked in at the World of Wonders (WOW) Hotel where they will be accommodated during a four days training before flying to Morocco.
The Cranes left Nairobi in the wee hours of Monday morning with a contingent that included 17 players picked from the team that beat Botswana 3-1 in an international friendly on Saturday.
According to Cranes Media Officer Fred ‘Malibu’ Katende, the team arrived at midday and immediately checked in at the Hotel 10 minutes drive away from the airport.
On arrival at the hotel, Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic took the team through simple drills to kill off the jetlag.
The team will hold its first training session monday night at 8.00PM at the Ataturk Olympic stadium and Micho explains that all sessions will be conducted under floodlights to acclimatize the players to the situation since the game against Senegal will be played at night.
