Uganda Cranes US based duo Henry Kalungi and Mike Azira have been named in the first and second team of the 2013 USL Pro season respectively.

According to the USL Pro official website, Kalungi who plies his trade with Richmond Kickers where he is skipper earned his position on the first team alongside compatriot William Yomby while Colin Falvey (Charleston Battery) and Robin Valentino completes the back four.

Kalungi was instrumental in the Kickers team that won the regular season title and lost only one game against Charleston Battery before bowing out in the semi-finals versus Charlton Eagles.

Charleston Battery midfielder Mike Azira whose side also lost to Orlando City in the semi-finals of the USL Pro play offs 3-2 last Friday was named in the 2013 USL Pro All-League second team.

The pair may earn more accolades as the nominees for Most Valuable Player of Year, defender of the year and Rookie player of the year will be announced on Wednesday.

The duo is currently training with Uganda Cranes in Istanbul, Turkey ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Senegal scheduled for September 7 in Marrakesh, Morocco.
