2013 Tusker Malt Uganda Golf Open Winner Peter Ssendawula has dedicated his sweet victory to the daughter, Kirisha, who was ironically marking her 5thBirthday on the day he won the most prestigious Golf tournament on the land.

“I played the best Golf for my daughter, who now lives in Mutukula with the grandmother. My winning was a birthday present to her”, Ssendawula told Kawowo Sports a day after his victory.

Born and bred in Entebbe, Ssendawula now boasts of 2 Uganda Open titles having won his first in 2009.

As a token of appreciation, Entebbe Club members pledged to sponsor him for the Asian Tour due later this year.

“If I perform well in the Asian Open, then I will turn professional from there”, Ssendawula, who seeks for more sponsors to brighten his Golfing Career says.

Ssendawula boasts of his wonderful Golfing bag that propelled him to his second open victory in 5 years. “I fancy the clubs that I used in the 2013 Uganda Open”, he says as he explains to the Kawowo Scribe the different clubs that were in his Golf bag at the 71st Uganda Golf Open.

The winner who carded 288 gross over the 4 days had defied an earlier motor accident at the start of the year. “I thank God, i survived death when i got an accident, but today i am a winner, glory be to the Almighty”, the handicap +1 golfer stated.

He used the following Clubs to perfection; Driver 1 (FT3), Cobra 3 Wood, Hybrid Cobra 24 Degree, 6 Iron (Pro Select), 7 Iron (Taylor Made), 8 & 9 Pro Select, 56 Pink (for the Approach Shot), Putter USA PGA Tour and the Sand Wedge (which he rarely used).

The Entebbe based Golfer, buys off some time to coach Tennis at the club Tennis Courts is grateful to he different people who have helped him in his Golfing Career. “I thank my Entebbe Club members,the Caddie, Nicolas Kawesaa, my sponsors – David Kalya and Entebbe Central Inn and all my childhood friends”, the soft spoken Ssendawula concludes.
