2nd Leg Semis

Mpindi Vs Mbogo – 4 pm (Mbogo Leads 1-0)

FINALS:On 21st Sept 2013 at Nakivubo – 4 p.m

The law of humanity has never barred revenge especially so when it is intended for a positive cause. This afternoon, as two of Buganda’s Clans battle for a slot for this year’s Bika Bya Baganda final slot, the 1996 and 2006 champions, Mpindi will come out with one chorus – Revenge.

This is after falling behind to a sole strike against Frank Video Anyau’s Mbogo. Mbogo leads 1-0 courtesy of a James Kasibante goal last week.

“We are out to prove that we can over turn the first leg result”, vows, Yudah Mugalu, the Mpindi team captain, who will welcome back Cranes’ tricky left winger Brian Majwega, who missed the opening semi final tie as he was away in Marrakesh with the national team.

In Brian Majwega, Skipper Yudah Mugalu, Khalifan Ntulume, Augustine Nsumba, Ivan Mbowa and Nana Ntabazi, Mpindi will seek for that much needed inspiration.

Mbogo, who last took the championships in the 60’s will look to their sharp striking line of Uganda Cranes CHAN prospect, Nelson Senkatuka, James Kasibante and KCC forward, Erias Ssekisambu to inflict more damage to the Mpindi team as Entebbe F.C midfielder, Siraje Ssentamu provides the balls Mike Kabanda, Sports Club Victoria University dreadlocked Mawejje Muwadda and Fred Ssemayobe providing the shield against goalie Michael Majwega. The latter is on  record as the first goalie in Bika Football to score a goal from over 100 yards (against Nyange on 1st August 2013).

The second semi final is between Ngabi Nsamba and the tourney’s defending champions, Ngeye. Ngabi Nsamba leads 2-0 after the first leg. The return leg is set to take place later this week.

The annual tourney is sponsored by CBS FM, Buganda Kingdom, SWICO, Riham Cola and Kyosimba Onayanya Ceremonial Services, the latter pays for all the day’s goals in the entire tourney.
