Uganda’s female Music icon, Rema is among the many artists expected to perform and entertain at the 3rd edition of the University beach Soccer this weekend at the Entebbe based Lido Beach off the shores of Africa’s greatest fresh water body, Lake Victoria.

 “Rema will be performing together with Vampino and other artists. There will be non-stop entertainment. Video games on giant pepsi screens, fans’games and entertainment from pepsi cheer ladies”, Deo Mutabazi, President of the Uganda Beach Soccer Association says.

Rema of the ‘Kaliba’ song fame is one of the most talked about music artists at the moment in Uganda. She will be joined by Vampino and Young Mulo to entertain the spectators who will be experiencing a carnival like atmosphere with the beautiful sexy cheer girls dancing off at every half-time break.

20 Universities and higher learning institutions have already confirmed participation in the 2 day long fete on the sand.

Action is expected to start on Saturday at 9 am, and the participating teams from far will be accommodated courtesy of the sponsors.

All the teams will receive pepsi drinks, transport and food. The participating universities are Mountains of the Moon, Bishop Stuart, MUST, Gulu, Busitema, Ndejje, KIU, Kampala University, Makerere University, MUBS, Multi-tech, Nkumba University, Fisheries Training Institute, among others.

Team winners will smile home with glittering trophies, while excelling individuals will take plaques and certificates. All teams’ players and officials will recieve Pepsi branded certificates of participation.

The University beach Soccer tourney is organized by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association, with the mandate of the National Universities Sports Federation of Uganda (NUSFU) and proudly sponsored by Crown Beverages under the Pepsi Cola Drink.
