The Nile Special Rugby Premiership is back with week 9 fixtures. Many ardent rugby fans from near and far will be at Lugogo for 4 different fixtures on the card at Legends and Kyadondo rugby grounds in Kampala.

At the Legends, run away league leaders, D’Mark Kobs host G4S pirates in the earlier fixture of the day at 2:30 pm before Rhinos hosts Mutoni warriors later at 4:30 pm.

Smarting from their 57 – 7 victory over the Mutoni Warriors last weekend, Kobs, who are marking their centenary celebrations would hope to keep composed for yet another routine win.

Just across the road, MTN heathens, currently third on the table standings will entertain the whipping boys of the league. Lira Bulls in a game that is predictably going to swing in the defending champion’s way.

The fixture comes at a time when the Lira bulls have not won any game this season, and have only scored 2 tries in as many games. So the fixture, shows its advantage the home Kyadondo side who suffered a shock 5-10 defeat in Entebbe to the Mongers 7 days ago.

Unless, there is the biggest miracle of this century, Lira Bulls will go be going for a damage limitation mechanism.

The match of the weekend is however reserved for the high flying Toyota Buffaloes as they host the Entebbe based Sadolin Mongers in a 4:30 pm fixture.

2nd placed Toyota Buffaloes host 5th place Sadolin Mongers at Kyadondo in what promises to be another exciting clash. Toyota Buffaloes edged Sadolin Mongers 19-13 at house of pain in the first round.

Sadolin Mongers after 6 straight defeats Sadolin Mongers have won 2 games in row, claiming big scalps like MTN Heathens and G4S Pirates. This will be a tremendous boast to their confidence.

Toyota Buffaloes on the other hands are still scaling some heady heights lying second on the table log. Sadolin Mongers, who will be looking to Andrew Olwenyi, Adrian Wasswa and Kigongo Ssebalamu for inspiration, are very rugged physical side who thrive at the collision area while Toyota Buffaloes prefer run opponents rugged with their youthful exuberance and vast array of skills.
