Mutoni Warriors Vs Toyota Buffaloes – Legends (2:30 pm)

G4S Pirates Vs MTN Heathens – Legends (4:30 pm)

Sadolin Mongers Vs D’Mark Kobs – Entebbe S.S ground (4:30 pm)

Lira Bulls vs Ezee Money Rhinos Lira Grounds (4:30 pm)

As week 10 of the Nile Special rugby premiership takes center stage, there are 4 fixtures at 3 different arenas but none will draw more attention than the one in the Lake side town of Entebbe when the run away table leaders, the D’Mark Kobs face the cold and hot home team, the Sadolin Mongers.

Sadolin Mongers, who lost  the previous weekend at Kyadondo in the the 10 – 20 defeat to Buffaloes, are mid table with in fifth with 16 points while D’Mark Kobs are unbeaten at the top of the table with 44 points.

The Mongers after a dismal first round are beginning to find their feet though they were defeated by the Buffaloes last week in another low scoring game.

Scott Oluoch will as he has done all in  the Kob’s games play an inspirational role was the Mongers call for the expertise of Andrew Olweny, Richard Bbira, John Wandicho and Wasswa Adrian, whose kicking prowess faulted him against the buffaloes, for that much needed inspiration at the bare patched House of Pain arena.

The D’Mark Kobs are making easy work of all opponents but in Mongers at house of pain they will meet an awkward opponent, who plays rigid and old fashioned rugby of disciplined defence, hard tackling and a team work effort play.

The first round score between both sides was a 40-13 thumping by DMark Kobs. Since both sides thrive on defense, all that is expected is defense versus defense scenario.

In the other fixtures, the Mutoni Warriors, who lost their first round encounter 35-10 to Toyota Buffaloes face a much improved side. Warriors lie 6th on the table with 14 points while Toyota Buffaloes are 3rd with 33 points.

Mutoni Warriors will be brimming with unbridled confidence after defeating the fancied Ezeemoney Rhinos in week 9. Buffaloes on the other hand stopped Sadolin Mongers who had taken Heathens and Pirates scalp in succession so they too know a thing or two about stopping winning streaks.

G4S Pirates have sunk to the relegation zone in 7th place. They have 10 points and only 2 wins out of 9 games. MTN Heathens indifferent form this season is still under scrutiny even if they still lie second on the table with 34 points.

G4S Pirates lost 33-9 to table leaders D’Mark Kobs last week despite some of their more experienced players like Felix Lubega and Dennis Etuket returning to the fold.

MTN Heathens welcomed back former U-19 sensation Phillip Wokorach from a long injury lay off since that injury against Pirates in 2013. For the first time this season the Heathens training session had a big number of players.

Heathens might just be slowly getting out of their hibernation. This unfortunately might spell more doom for hapless G4S Pirates who are in danger of being relegated this season. MTN Heathens have not lost a league game to G4S Pirates since 2009.This is why this is a must win game for G4S Pirates. The first round score between both sides was a 24-9 victory for MTN Heathens.

4th place Ezeemoney Rhinos smarting from a humbling 17-11 defeat to Mutoni Warriors travel to Lira. Lira have not won a league game and will not win a league game in the premiership this year.

The writing is on the wall, Lira Bulls will be at home to limit the damage that is must likely to be inflicted by the Kampala side otherwise, the debate is normally how many tries they will concede. Rhinos won the first leg tie 62 nil.

Enjoy your rugby weekend.
