FUFA Super League:
Week 17 Fixtures:
Tues, 11th February:
Proline Vs Kira Young F.C – Lugogo Stadium
Express F.C Vs Police F.C – Wankulukuku Stadium
It is a week of love and romance, inevitably, the love cuts across different boundaries and peripheries of life. Football, the most loved sport in the world will not be definitely left outside the box.
In the two FUFA Super league fixtures to be played on Tuesday, Proline football Club, having started the second half on a low note after falling to Vipers in that 0 – 1 away loss at St Mary’s Kitende play ground would wish to avenge on Kira Young, whom they host at Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, while Express entertains Police Football club at Mutesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
Shafik Bisaso, the head tactician at Proline hopes to capitalize on the home advantage and pick a decent result.
“Having lost to Vipers, we shall be out to revenge against Kira Young. All my boys are in the right frame of mind and i expect a positive result”, Bisaso, who formerly coached Gomba Ssaza before he deputized Abdullah Mubiru at Proline said.
Having lost defender, Dennis Makoba Bigala (off to Vietnam), the exciting cheeky winger Isma Kabugu (Nairobi City Stars) , Patrick Ssenfuka, the midfield party spoiler, Andrew ‘Majegere’ Kyekulidde and Silvah Ochaya, Proline will look up to Paddy Muhumuza, Juilus Okocha, U-20 player, Simon Namwanja and the left footed Rahmant Ssenfuka for inspiration.
Kira Young on the other hand expect to put up a brave fight having got disappointed with that non scoring draw in Mbale away to CRO.
Team Skipper, Richard Kassaga regrets the 2 points lost in Mbale. “We have to work for the maximum points. Though CRO disappointed with their time wasting antics, we have to struggle hard this time round and pick the points.” Kassaga, a king pin defender with Uganda Cranes tells Kawowo Sports.
At Wankulukuku Stadium, Express football club “Mukwano Gwa Bangi”, still in a shock after the sudden disappearance of the veteran coach, Frank ‘Video’ Anyau, who left after months of non payment, will face Police football club, another former giant killing side.
Wasswa Bbosa, who was Anyau’s assistant is now the team’s head coach and he is building the team having lost a handful of players like Bright Aguma (who left to Kira Young).
Tough times awaits the side that was once a darling for many.Save for a few lucky players like goalie Ivan Mutumba, whose wages and salaries are paid up by Musicican, Geofrey Lutaaya, the rest of the squad members are in ‘tears’ and uncertainty of how they will survive.
