It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for Ugandan football exports in Kenya as their various clubs posted mixed results. Kawowo Sports’ Ismael Kiyonga reviews day two of the 2014 Kenya Premier League (KPL) with emphasis on games involving Ugandans.

Here we go. David Nyanzi, Daniel Sserunkuma net winners: Chemelil Sugar 2-1 Muhoroni Youth FC Ex-Water FC skipper David Nyanzi scored the winning goal for his new side Chemelil Sugars as they beat Muhoroni Youth 2-1.

Nyanzi scored in the 75th minute after James Agembe had earlier equalised for Chemelil cancelling out Enock Ochieng’s opener for Muhoroni. Ex-Kiira Young FC defender Hamidu Kwizera featured the entire game for Muhoroni.

Mathare United 0-1 Gor Mahia FC At Machakos, Daniel Sserunkuma scored his second KPL goal in as many games this season when Gor Mahia FC beat Mathare United 1-0 on Sunday. His compatriots Israel Emuge, Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito and Godfrey Walusimbi featured for K’Ogalo while fellow Ugandan Zzinda Hussein was on the losing side as he featured for Mathare United.

Sofapaka FC 0-1 Sony Sugars Sony Sugars climbed to the top of the KPL log with a 1-0 victory over Sam Timbe coached Sofapaka FC at Machakos.

Edwin Odour scored the lone goal for the visiting side that Ugandans Andrew Waiswa and John Bosco Ssemugenyi in their team. Johnson Bagoole played 90 minutes for Batoto Bamungu but compatriot Mustafa Kasolo wasn’t in the match day squad. In other games involving Ugandans, Ivan Anguyo’s Kenya Revenue Authority beat David Bogere’s KCB FC at Nyayo stadium.

Both players featured for their respective sides. Musa Mudde was an unused substitute as AFC Leopards drew goalless with army side Ulinzi Stars, Hamza Muwonge and Tony Kizito featured in Thika United’s away 0-1 wins at newly promoted Top Fry Allstars while Lawrence Kasadha featured in Nairobi City Stars’ 1-0 win over Bruno Sserunkuma’s Bandari FC
