Just after 2 matches including last week’s 1 – 8 humiliation over KCC football club, Herbert Sama has thrown in the towel as head tactician at FUFA Super league club, Child’s Restoration Organization (CRO) Football team, Kawowo Sports reliably reports.

“I confirm I have stepped aside, we failed to meet a consensus with the management of the club over my payment. I cannot continue to work under such conditions where I inject in my personal money including transport fares”, he told Kawowo Sports.

Sama also cited sabotage by selfish people who have been telling majority of the players including goal keeper, Ibrahim Bashir to rebel.

Sama has been coach for the Eastern Uganda team since January and he handled the team for their home match against Kira Young that ended goal-less and his second outing ended in misery as champions, KCC humiliated CRO 8 – 1 at Lugogo.

Club Chairman, Bwayo confirms there is a financial crisis at the club but refutes Sama’s allegation of being not paid.

“Like any other club in Uganda, finances are since the league has no sponsor but we still persevere. We have been promptly paying the coach’s transport and his salary was pending negotiations”, Bwayo told Kawowo Sports.

CRO travels to Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday to play the ‘Eastern giants’, Bul – Bidco in the Eastern Uganda derby.

Sama joins Frank ‘Video’ Anyau who left Express in the half season break for Big league side, Baza Holdings, citing non payment while Masaka Local Council’s James Kisseka was demoted to assistant coach after the arrival of former Express goalie, Abu Kigenyi.

Entebbe Football club’s James Odoch has also since left the club for greener pastures (as assistant coach at big league side, Baza Holdings).
