Banned Simba football club coach, Fred Kajoba has reacted bitterly upon his 5 match ban and Ug.X 0.75M fine.
“You look at the FUFA Super league board and pity them. Who amongst themselves had Ug.X 750,000 in cash by the time they made that suspect ruling”, Kajoba, who is also the national team’s goal keeping coach fumed when contacted by Kawowo Sports.
The FSL board on Thursday announced a 5 match ban for Kajoba and cash fine after reviewing the referee’s report on the circumstances that led to the abandonment of the game between Express FC and Simba FC on Friday 21st March at Wankulukukulu Stadium.
“The referee’s report singled out Simba Coach Fred Kajoba as being the sole reason as to why the game was abandoned when he called off his entire team as a way of protesting a decision that went against his team”, an official statement released by the FSL board committee said.
Kajoba Spits fire (Whistle Blower):
Kajoba clarified that in as much as he respects the board’s decision, he is acting as a whistle blower to the rest of the teams in the league especially those so called ‘underdogs’.
“Just imagine what will happen to the so called ‘inferior teams’? They will also fall prey to suspect and biased refereeing. There is a conspiracy to help some teams survive relegation but when are watching boldly every step being taken”, the former Uganda Cranes international added.
With the match glued at 0 – 0 by the 84th minute, Express orchestrated a move involving Skipper Willy Kavuma towards the Simba half.
An infringement on a Simba f.c player was neglected by the day’s referee, and the move paid off with a strike for the home team.
Reacting bitterly, Fred Kajoba ordered off his entire team in protest and the match was abandoned with barely 5 minutes to play.
The decision comes as a welcome breather for Express as they raise to 19 points from 21 games prior their Friday visit to Sports Club Victoria University at Namboole Stadium.
