Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) humiliated FUFA Big league side, The Saints 5 – 1 in a completely one sided fixture at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on Tuesday.

Defender, Denis Okot scored the game’s opener just after 52 seconds before Mathew Odong notched a brace with Yasser Mugerwa, and a Dennis Iguma solo effort capping the icing on SCVU’s already baked cake.

Second half substitute Nelson Ssempagala got a late consolation for The Saints, a well converted penalty after defender Murushid Jjuuko had brought down tricky striker, Farouk Kawooya in the area.

In the other games played, Kampala Regional league side Hope Soana shocked Express football club following a 7 -6 penalty triumph in that famous one minute game. 

The ‘one minute match’ was a a continuation of the abandoned action two weeks ago when the crowd could not allow play to continue when Soana equalized against the Red Eagles in the third minute of the four added in the second half.

The score was 1-1. In today’s action, no fans were allowed inside the stadium for the clubs officials. In the penalty shoot outs, Hope Soana won 7-6 to set up a last 16 clash with Kampala University.

Round of 16 Results:

In Jinja, Asiku Crespo was on target for home side BUL FC while Ayub Kisalita scored for SC Villa as the game ended 1-1. In  penalties, BUL edged the Jogoos 4-3.

In Buikwe URA knocked out Vipers 1-0 thanks to Emmanuel Ngama’s goal while Masaka L.C were bundled out at the Kitezi play ground after Zlatan Lubega scored the match winner for FUFA big league side, Wandegeya.

Meanwhile Entebbe football club caused a stir in the FUFA super league as they pipped defending champions, KCC to a 1 – 0 victory at Mutesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.

Nasser Muzamiru scored the all important goal for Entebbe football club, who now rise to 19 points and still in a quest to look for more points of surviving relegation.

Bright stars and Pro line played to a 1 all draw at Nakivubo stadium.
