Solomon Kego and Kathy Kabenge, were the big winners on the night at the Uganda Golf Club over the weekend in the MTN May Monthly Mug at the par 72 Kitante golf course.
Kego had a flawless round of golf returning with a perfect score of 66 nett to claim the overall crown and staving off 170 golfers. The one event marked the second quarter in the year for the monthly mug as they golf calendar reaches the half way stage.
For the last five years, MTN Uganda has maintained an annual support of 10 monthly mugs, one Mid-Year Mug and a final Mug of Mugs that happens in December.
Fernandez Nestor was winner of Group B with 70 nett while Dr Sam Nahamya was group C winner with 68 nett. Andrew Muhwezi, with 72 nett was group D winner.
Uganda Ladies Captain at Uganda Golf Club Dr Kathy Kabenge, continued her rich vein of form by claiming the Ladies crown in Group A with a score of 73 nett while Njambi Karanja was group B winner with 64 nett.
