Twenty one drivers including two Ugandans have confirmed participation in the Oryx Energy Rally of Tanzania; the fourth round on the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) calendar which is scheduled on the weekend of June 13 – 15, 2014.
Shafik Semujju, Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru and Hajji Abdu Sempebwa are the three Ugandans in the race which has also attracted continental big names in Zambia’s Mohammed Essa, Rwanda’s Giancarlo Davite, Kenya’s Jaspreet Singh Chatthe and fast rising Ivorian Gary Chaynes who leads the 2014 ARC log.
According to the ARC website www.africanrallychampionship.com, the official launch of the event is on Friday at 11:30AM at the Oryx Energy Head Office Board Room in Kurasini.
