Uganda fell to sixth position at the 12th All Africa Challenge Golf Trophy at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi, Kenya as South Africa bounced back from second to take charge at this All Ladies team golf tournament.

Uganda returned with 326 gross, with Flavia Namakula, finishing ninth with a total of 157 gross with a score of 83 today after starting off with 74 in the opening round yesterday.

Katy Kabenge, was the country’s second best player with 84 gross while Harriet Kitaka returned with 89.

The defending champions South Africa surged ahead for the title of the 12th All Africa Challenge Trophy by eight shots, 294 gross, after the second round of the 54-hole championships.

The Kenya ladies golf team, who had a narrow one-shot overnight lead is now in second on 302 gross.The Tanzanians are only 4 shots adrift in third place on 306 gross.

Zambia is in fourth place on 315, followed by neighbours Zimbabwe a further 6 shots behind on 321.  Uganda is sixth with 326 gross.
