Marvin Kagoro, playing off handicap 22 had the last smile and last laugh as he won the Sheraton Shoot Out Golf invitational over the weekend at the Palm Valley Golf and Country Club returning to the club house with 35 points on count back and beating close to 150 golfers.
The tournament was the second of it’s kind being held at the 9 hole course of Entebbe road at Kakungulu Housing Estate. National golf captain Phillip Kasozi, claimed group A with a solid and perfect round of 35 points on count back.
Justin Real was winner B with 35 points over the par 72 golf course that is being upgraded to a 18 hole course in the future. Hillary Ndunguste, carried the day in group C with a score of 33 points.
Palm Valley’s Melon Kyomugisha, walked away with the ladies group A crown carding a total of 41 points. Diana Nabukenya, was winner of Group B with a score of 31 on count back.
Dennis Anguyo, claimed the overall crown for the professionals with a score of 147 gross to beat 11 professionals.
The tournament is part of the leading hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility which has seen them sponsor several golf tournaments and other sports like Tag Rugby just to mention but a few.
