Africa representatives Cameroon return to action against Croatia at the Arena Amazonia, Manaus but both know that the loser will become the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.
Croatia despite putting up a decent performance against Brazil lost 3-1 while Cameroon; quarter finalists in 1990 deservedly lost 1-0 to Mexico.
With Brazil and Mexico settling for a barren draw on Tuesday, both sides will be out to avoid defeat as even a draw will leave them with a chance to fight for progress to the next round in their last group game.
The Indomitable Lions maybe without skipper Samuel Eto’o (injury) though he insists he is fit to play. In case he fails to recover in time, Vicente Aboubaker is expected to deputize. Jean Makoun returns to the team after missing the first game against Mexico.
On the Croatian side, Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic is expected to start after serving a one-match ban against Brazil, with Nikica Jelavic making way.
Luka Modric suffered a foot injury but is expected to be fit for the tie. The sides will be meeting for the first time but Croatia have a decent record against African sides (3 Wins) albeit all friendlies.
