West Select Vs Uganda Cranes

At Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara

Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) player, Muzamiru Mutyaba has earned his first ever call up to the senior national football team, The Cranes.

Following his gradual improvement for his team, the FUFA technical team has rewarded the youngster with a call up to the senior side.

The former Maroons f.c player, who also featured for Mawogola Ssaza in the Buganda Masaza cup is among the 22 players called for Uganda Cranes countrywide tour, tagged “Cranes Namutima“.

Also included in the team set up for the first time is another SCVU defender, Murushid Jjuuko.

On form KCC striker player, William Wadri has been also summoned in the national team.

The team also has the St George pair of Isaac Isinde and goalie Robert Odongkara.

Other foreign based players in the team are Yanga’s duo of strikers Emma Okwi and Hamis Kizza, Asante Kotoko’s Joseph Ochaya and Simba’s Brian Umony.

Training for the team starts on Monday, 23rd June 2014 at Namboole stadium.

Training and match allowances for all the team players and officials will be faciliated by Nile Breweries Limited.

The tour starts on Sunday 29th June 2014 against the Western region select team at Kakyeka Stadium.

Between 4th – 6th July 2014, the team will travel to Soroti for the second exihibition match.
