Africa U-17 Qualifiers:

Return Leg: 28th June 2014

Uganda Vs Seychelles

At Nakivubo Stadium

4:30 p.m

In preparation for the team’s return leg of the Africa U-17 Youth championships, Uganda Cubs did not even have any day off as they resumed training at the Njeru Technical center.

The team returned on Tuesday night and was straight away driven to the Njeru technical center.

“We have to work on a few more aspects of the game, so there Is no time for resting”, Matia Lule, the team’s head coach told Kawowo Sports.

Uganda won the first leg courtesy of Charles Ssebutinde and Pius Obuya strikes.

Ball Possession, Defending and Scoring:

Lule is contented his troops have the ability to retain the ball for long spells but still has a lot to work on as far as creating goal scoring opportunities is concerned.

“We contain the ball which is very good but still, we need to create as many chances as possible and kill them off as we gallantly defend”, Matia added.

The three players who were left behind for the away Seychelles match rejoin the team.

They are 13 year old Ezra Bidda, the goal keeper, Ali Ramadhan Mwirusi and Imran Mpaata.

Should Uganda progress, the next opponent will be Rwanda.

The winner between Rwanda and Uganda will play Zambia in the final qualification match for the championships that will be held in Niger.
