Netherlands Vs Chile – Arena De Sao Paulo @ 7.00pm
Spain Vs Australia – Arena da Baixada, Curitiba @7.00pm
Netherlands and Chile face off in their ultimate group B game at the Arena De Sao Paulo vying to finish top.
The two nations already sealed progressed to the next round after winning their opening two group fixtures but know that finishing top will most probably hand them an opponent in the round of 16 that is not the hosts Brazil who are fancied to top group A.
The Dutch will be without their lead striker Robin Van Persie (Suspension) and coach Louis Van Gaal is most likely to field Klaas Jan Huntleer as the Manchester United’s star’s replacement.
Defender Bruno Martins Indi, who suffered concussion against Australia, may also miss out.
On the other hand, Chile Coach Jorge Sampoali may opt to rest Arturo Vidal and Charles Aranguiz after the duo are nursing injuries and are one yellow card away from suspension for the crucial round of 16 games.
Netherlands need just a draw to finish top since they boost of a better goal difference while Chile must win.
The two sides will be meeting for only the second time with the previous meeting ending in a 2-2 draw in an Olympic tournament in 1928 but the Dutch won the lot and are shown as the winners of that tie.
The Netherlands have not lost a group game since 1994 whilst Chile have never won three World Cup games on the bounce.
In the other group game, Australia and Spain clash in a dead rubber but both sides will need to leave the tournament with at least a win.
The two nations lost their two openers and have no chance of progress from the group.
