Uganda national U-17 head coach, Matia Lule is hopeful of a positive performance ahead of the team’s clash against Rwanda this month.
The Cubs team will play Rwanda Junior Wasps side on the Friday 18th July 2014 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
“We are green (have little information) about Rwanda team but we shall play our part first”, Matia Lule told Kawowo Sports.
Team Preparations:
Coach Matia Lule has beefed up the side with 7 players fresh who were recruited from the Airtel Rising stars football tournament.
“We shall see how these players got from Airtel Rising stars gel with the rest in the camp”, Lule added.
Players for MRI tests:
FUFA will however spend a fortune to have the players undergo the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test to ascertain their true ages.
The cost per player for the MRI test is Ug.shs 1.2M.
Lule joined the Airtel Rising Stars finals in Fort Portal after the Cubs ejected Seychelles 5-1 on aggregate.
The team training resumes next Monday (7th July 2014) at the Njeru Technical center.
The return leg will be played in Kigali on 2nd August 2014.
