After holding an early morning light session, the national U-17 football team, The Cubs have travelled to Jinja to camp at the Njeru Technical center.

The development follows a 2 week break after eliminating Seychelles 5 -1 on aggregate at Lugogo.

“Most of these boys have been in schools. We sought permission from their schools and parents to have them in the camp”, Head coach, Matia Lule told Kawowo Sports.

They are preparing for the first leg CAF Under 17 qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday, 19th July 2014, the Ugandan team has today entered the residential camp at Njeru Technical Center, Jinja.

5 new players have been added onto the team.”The added players were got from the Airtel Rising Stars and one boy is from the Bolton academy” the team manager, Herbert Nsubuga adds.

They are set to play a friendly game against Entebbe International this Sunday.
