Ahead of Tuesday’s international buildup match between Uganda Cranes and the Malawi flames, Chimodzi Young, head coach of the central African nation is confident of a positive away result.
“We expect a great match from Uganda. Hopefully we emerge victorious because it is a confidence building game for the players”, Chimodzi, a former player with Flames told Kawowo Sports.
The Flames trained on Sunday at Lugogo and are expected to have a feel of the Namboole turf on Monday evening. This will be the second International Build up for the two sides.
Uganda beat Seychelles on Friday while Malawi was held to a one all draw at home by Mozambique a day later. Malawi surrendered an early lead to draw 1-1 with visiting Mozambique’s Mambas in Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.
Uganda’s head coach, Micho is expected to name a strong line up with a few additions to the side that beat Seychelles. Emma Okwi and Brian Omony are expected to take part.
